Tin Can Bay - where the dolphins play.
Once called Tun-Kin the aboriginal word for dugong - Tin Can Bay has a population of approx. 2000 people and we are nestled on the pristine waters of Tin Can Bay Inlet on the doorstep of the natural wonders of the Cooloola National Park, Great Sandy Straits and Fraser Island. We have indo-pacific humpback dolphins visit nearly every morning to be hand fed for which they have been doing so for 30 years. We have a relaxing lifestyle of fishing, boating, walking etc. and would love to have you come and visit us.
Come and stay in our beautiful area at Cathy House our accommodation and conference centre situated on the water. Please view all details under our projects section for what we offer and how to book and get further information.
